Teaching children how to cook and the importance of eating cheap but nutritious food was the main purpose of the cooking contest. They were given a budget for that certain activity and it was held at Urawa beach. At 12 o'clock everything was ready and it turned out that they were able to cook nutritious and delicious meals, of course with the supervision of their houseparents.
Here were the foods they cooked.
Mr. Karasuyama thumbs up as he and his wife, Mrs. Aida Karasuyama taste the vegetable recipes prepared by the teams. They were the judges of the contest.
