House of Joy celebrated 14th Foundation Day as its Founder celebrated his 53rd Birthday

Marites showed her talent in ballroom dancing with her partner, Narciso, a Kasing-Kasing Scholar.
HOJ was greatly honored by the presence of Consul Yoshiyuki Isoda, the Consul of Japan.

Ms. Rey Ann Olvido, a former Kasing-Kasing Scholar who is now a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture but is currently serving the HOJ as a Kasing-Kasing Schoalrship Program Coordinator. She shared the trials of her life when she was still a student. Poverty was never a hindrance to her. She said she almost gave up, but with the advise given to her by the HOJ Executive Directress, Mrs. Aida Karasuyama, she pursued her education despite the difficulties she encountered. Rey Ann has become an inspiration to the students during the foundation day.


Kasing-Kasing Scholar showcased their surprise number.

Mr. Itsuo Karasuyama, the founder of the HOJ Foundation, Inc. who also celebrated his 53rd birthday dedicated his message to the HOJ children and scholars. People think he is rich, but he is not. It's the sponsors that has made the HOJ continue to survive for 14 years, mostly from the Japanese people. He emphasized his love for God, the reason he also loves children. He said, one shouldn't just love himself and his family, but EVERYONE. He is Japanese, but he is loving the Filipino children as much as he loves his family and the people of Japan.
